Alpine Research AR-15 barrels optimized for suppressor use
Alpine Research designed our rifle barrels to make the most of your suppressor. Each barrel features a little extra mass near the chamber and a continous taper down to the gas block journal collar. While falling into the medium contour category, this profile concentrates more mass near the chamber, where heat builds up most. All barrels feature an incredibly tight tolerance gas block journal surface, ensuring a tight seal with our gas block for maximum efficiency. Out front are standard 5/8"-24 threads to reduce baffle and end cap strikes (1/2"-28 available).
If you are using a traditional cone baffle suppressor with medium to high backpressure, our MACH series barrel in 11.5" and 12.5" features a suppressor only gas port, reducing recoil and stopping gas to the face.
If you prefer the more modern, high flow rate suppressors like Huxwrx, CAT, and many more, Apollo barrels are optimized for low/no backpressure use. The Apollo barrel, a mid-gas 11.5" barrel runs unsuppressed or suppressed, making it the perfect choice for high flow cans like CAT and Huxwrx.
All Alpine Research barrels are turned from ordinance grade 4150 CrMoV barrel steel, and are finished with H&M Black Nitride for durability and corrosion protection.
